Gloo Launches AI Licensing Platform to Empower Ethical Use and Fair Compensation for Values-Aligned Content

Gloo, a technology platform for the faith ecosystem, launched Gloo AI Licensing to protect and control how content is accessed, used and monetized. The technology empowers publishers and creators of values-aligned content to extend their reach while ensuring ethical use and fair compensation for their intellectual property. It also ensures responsible use by AI companies for model training and in applications like chatbots, apps and robotics.

Embracing a usage-based compensation model, Gloo is also seeding the platform with a $5 million pooled guarantee to ensure publishers receive immediate and transparent payouts. The release of Gloo AI Licensing is the latest in a suite of announcements from the Gloo AI division, including Gloo Open, an open-source approach to driving rapid innovation of values-aligned AI, and AI Trust Standards, which evaluates an AI model's ability to promote human flourishing across seven dimensions.

Gloo includes prominent investors such as HL Investments, Thrivent, GuideStone Financial Services, and former Intel CEO and current chairman of Gloo, Pat Gelsinger. Additionally, Gloo is an official industry partner of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association, which includes some of the largest Christian publishers such as HarperCollins Christian and Christianity Today.

"Just as iTunes revolutionized compensation for musicians, Gloo is creating a sustainable model to ensure creators of values-based content can thrive in the AI era," said Gelsinger. "This isn't just about technology — it's about protecting and amplifying the human wisdom and stories that transform lives. By fairly compensating creators, we're investing in a future where high-quality, human-generated content continues to inform, inspire and impact communities at scale."

The Gloo AI Licensing platform uses advanced Digital Rights Management to create a secure, AI-enhanced environment for publishers' intellectual property. The system improves content discoverability through AI-powered tagging while giving publishers complete control over their content distribution. Publishers can set precise permissions for AI training and determine content access levels and track usage, all while ensuring compensation for their work.
