Amadeus and Google announced a landmark partnership to deploy Google Cloud's technology, reinforcing Amadeus' commitment to cloud- and AI-based innovation. Under the agreement, Amadeus, one of the global travel IT leaders, will migrate part of its technical platform to Google Cloud, leveraging its open, secure, and reliable infrastructure to enhance operational efficiency and resiliency, while being closer to customers' needs. The partnership will also enable Amadeus to build future innovations and services based on Google Cloud's generative AI technologies and other solutions.
The selection of Google Cloud underscores Amadeus' commitment to a multicloud strategy, complementing and expanding its reach across 42 global regions. Amadeus' open cloud approach helps the company foster innovation and autonomy, while prioritizing security and reliability. In particular, Google Cloud's expertise in data analytics and management will provide agility and efficiency for Amadeus, enabling the company to harmonize data across its diverse customer systems.
Amadeus will also explore future AI-driven innovations by leveraging Google Cloud's AI technologies. By using Google Cloud's Vertex AI, Amadeus will have access to a vast selection of large language models (LLMs), allowing the company to deploy faster AI solutions. Furthermore, Amadeus will explore agentic AI with Google Agentspace and Google Cloud's open and interoperable approach to agents, considering a possible integration into its own solutions. Amadeus' exploration of AI, including use cases for AI agents collaborating with each other, could help bring concrete benefits to travel players and travelers, offering richer, more fluid, and more comprehensive travel experiences.
Furthermore, the two companies are exploring collaboration opportunities to enhance flight search accuracy and airline offer management by integrating Amadeus MetaConnect and Amadeus Nevio with Google Flights and the Google Offer Management system (QPX), ultimately improving user experience and market presence for airlines.
Sylvain Roy, Chief Technology Officer, Amadeus, comments: "We are thrilled to embark on this partnership with Google Cloud, which will enable us to strengthen our multicloud strategy and drive AI-powered innovation. This collaboration will allow us to explore new innovation projects using Google Cloud's data and AI capabilities, as we transform the travel industry by offering unmatched connectivity and efficiency to the entire ecosystem."
Isabelle Fraine, Managing Director Google Cloud France: "We are excited to partner with Amadeus to support its cloud-based operations and AI innovation. We believe that our open approach to cloud and AI, our secure and reliable infrastructure, and our own innovation capacities in generative AI will support Amadeus to operate in more regions, with more customers and partners, for the benefit of the whole travel industry."
