K2 GRC announced an expansion of its artificial intelligence capabilities with the launch of K2 Assist AI, K2 GRC Readiness Review, and the new K2 GRC AI Skill and MCP Server.

K2 GRC's AI strategy is built around flexibility, security and control while helping organizations scale their GRC workforce and programs. K2 GRC President Thomas Lyden emphasized, "If we can't save you an FTE, I'll give you your money back."

Designed with enterprise flexibility and security in mind, K2 GRC gives organizations control over how AI is deployed across Commercial Cloud and GovCloud environments. Organizations can use K2 Assist AI natively, leverage approved external AI tools through K2 GRC's AI Skill and MCP Server, or disable AI functionality based on their security, compliance and governance requirements.

AI-Powered Readiness Reviews

K2 GRC Readiness Review, powered by GRC Engineering Club, uses AI to accelerate gap assessments against applicable compliance frameworks. By analyzing cloud provider configurations alongside organizational evidence and documentation, Readiness Review helps identify control gaps, assess implementation status and surface areas requiring attention or remediation.

Extending K2 GRC Beyond the Platform

The K2 GRC AI Skill and MCP Server extend K2 GRC capabilities to compatible external AI assistants, agents and agentic platforms, including Claude. Together, they allow organizations to access and execute K2 GRC capabilities through supported AI environments without limiting customers to a single AI provider or interface.

"K2 Assist AI gives teams a way to use AI where the work is already happening, while giving each organization control over whether and how those capabilities are enabled," Lyden continued.
