Reolink, a global smart home security brand, has launched the Home Hub 2, the next-generation local storage and management hub for Reolink cameras. Unveiled at IFA 2026 and now available for purchase, the Home Hub 2 brings ReoNeura™ on-device AI to the center of the home security system, combining Local AI Video Search with support for a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD of expandable local storage and centralized control for up to eight Reolink cameras. Now, users can find the moments that matter in seconds, without scrolling through hours of footage or paying for cloud storage.
Home Hub 2 serves as an all-in-one control center for the Reolink ecosystem, and its ReoNeura™ AI capabilities will continue to grow. It features Cross-Camera Tracking, which follows a detected object across cameras and merges it into a single video. An upcoming firmware update will add Custom AI Detection and AI self-learning, which lets users define and train the system to recognize scenarios unique to their space, such as a side gate left open, for smarter, more relevant alerts. Home Hub 2 also supports sending alerts, including images, to Discord, Telegram, and Slack.* Setup takes three simple steps through the Reolink App, where users can view high-definition live feeds and playback from multiple cameras, or use the time-lapse feature to condense long events like sunrises or construction projects into seconds. A built-in alarm center sounds a siren when any connected camera is triggered, with a choice of ringtones or a custom sound.
Key features of the Reolink Home Hub 2:
- Local AI Video Search: Powered by Reolink's ReoNeura™ on-device AI engine, Local AI Video Search lets users search locally stored recordings across all connected cameras using simple keywords. Instead of manually reviewing playback, users can go straight to the footage they need. All searches run locally on the hub, with no cloud subscription required.
- Expandable, Encrypted Local Storage: A new SATA slot supports up to a 2.5-inch HDD/SSD, alongside a microSD card slot supporting up to 1TB. Bank-level encryption protects recordings against unauthorized access, even if a camera or microSD card is stolen.
- One Hub for Up to Eight Cameras: The Home Hub 2 connects up to eight Reolink cameras** at up to 16MP resolution, including battery Wi-Fi, plug-in Wi-Fi, and PoE models, over 2.4/5GHz WiFi 6. The hub creates its own local network, so compatible cameras keep recording to the hub even if the home internet connection goes down. A Regular Security Summary in the Reolink App shows daily, weekly, or monthly statistics of motion detection events, so users can quickly see what happened and jump straight to playback.
The Home Hub 2 also works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant for hands-free viewing on Echo Show and Google Nest Hub displays. All features are available without a subscription or monthly fees.
